In a critical showdown for the race to reach the Play-In Showdown, Maccabi needed overtime to beat Dubai 104-100 at Aleksandar Nikolic Hall in Belgrade, Serbia. Jimmy Clark led the winners with a career-high 23 points and 10 assists. O'Shae Brissett added 19 points, Jaylen Hoard scored 15, Roman Sorkin had 14 and Zach Hankins contributed 10 for Maccabi. McKinley Wright paced Dubai with 26 points, Mfiondu Kabengele posted 24 and 12 rebounds, Dwayne Bacon had 16 points while Filip Petrusev 11 for Dubai, which led 51-66 early in the second half. Maccabi rallied and forced overtime, 88-88, on a put-back layup by Brissett with 0.9 seconds left in regulation. Sorkin, Clarke and Hoard made the difference in overtime.

The Turkish side hit the ground running and took a 11-21 lead after 10 minutes, but the hosts opened the second quarter with a 20-5 surge and turned the game around for a 42-33 advantage at halftime. A tight third quarter saw Real Madrid maintain a 60-53 lead, before going on a 10-0 run midway through the fourth to finish the duel off.

Having completed a perfect double-round week, Sergio Scariolo’s side improved its record to 22-12. Meanwhile, Efes lost both its two games in Spain this week, dropping to 10-24.

Seven Real Madrid players netted at least 8 points, with Trey Lyles finishing the game on 14 by shooting 4-for-5 from deep. Jordan Loyd led all scorers with 21 points but it wasn’t enough to secure a road victory.
