FIRST Playoff WIN Since 2011 | Panathinaikos - Valencia | EuroLeague Basketball PLAYOFFS HIGHLIGHTS

Valencia registered its first EuroLeague Playoff win since 2011 by downing Panathinaikos 87-91 at Telekom Center Athens. It was the third road win in this series in as many games. Panathinaikos holds a 2-1 lead and hosts Game 4 on Friday. If Valencia wins, the series would finish with a do-or-die Game 5 at Roig Arena.

Jean Montero and Brancou Badio led the winners with 16 points apiece. Montero added a career-high 9 assists. Kameron Taylor had 14 points and Darius Thompson scored 12 for Valencia. TJ Shorts paced Panathinaikos with 17 points, Nikos Rogkavopoulos added 16, Nigel Hayes-Davis had 15, Kendrick Nunn 13 and Cedi Osman 10.

Valencia led 18-24 at the end of the first quarter, extended its margin to 39-52 at halftime and then again to 68-84 with 8 minutes remaining. Panathinaikos managed to get within 87-90 but Rokgavopoulos missed twice from beyond the arc before Badio sealed the outcome from the foul line.

Tubelis Forced GAME 4 | Zalgiris - Fenerbahçe | EuroLeague Basketball PLAYOFFS HIGHLIGHTS

Zalgiris clawed out a vital home win over Fenerbahce to keep the series alive and reduce the deficit to 1-2 after a huge comeback in which the Lithuanian side fought back from a 19-37 deficit in the second quarter amid a fervent atmosphere created by fans in the Zalgirio Arena. Fenerbahce looked in control for three quarters of a rugged and physical contest but Zalgiris roared back thanks to ironclad defense in the final 10 minutes, nosing ahead 74-72 for its first lead of the game.

Big man Azoulas Tubelis served up a monster performance with a tied career high of 26 points and 6 boards as he also posted a crucial block in the home stretch to deny Tarik Biberovic. Nigel Williams-Goss scored 18 while Sylvain Francisco racked up 12 to go with 7 boards and 8 assists, while Moses Wright amassed 11 and 6 rebounds with Zalgiris overcoming a poor start to win the battle of the boards 36-31.

Fenerbahce led 12-25 after the first quarter and enjoyed a whopping lead in the second but the EuroLeague champs were undone by the home team’s ironclad defense in the second half, with Wade Baldwin leading the charge on 16 points. Talen Horton-Tucker netted 15, Devon Hall chipped in with 14 and Biberovic scored 10 for the visitors.
