Milan will need a near miracle to reach the play-ins at the moment with a 17-19 record and five straight road losses. Panathinaikos grabbed its fifth win in the last six games by downing Barcelona 79-93 at Palau Blaugrana on Tuesday. Panathinaikos improved to 21-15 in the standings and broke a mammoth 14-game losing streak in that building. Meanwhile, Barca dropped to 20-16 after registering its seventh home loss in the current EuroLeague season.

Panathinaikos led 23-27 after 10 minutes, extending its lead to 38-55 at halftime and then again to 49-80 at the end of the third quarter. It is the biggest difference ever registered against Barca at Palau by any road team in EuroLeague history – 31 points. And it was more than enough to seal the outcome long before the final buzzer.

Cedi Osman led the winners with 21 points on 4-of-5 two-pointers and 3-of-4 three-pointers. Nigel Hayes-Davis and Kendrick Nunn each added 14, Juancho Hernangomez and Kostas Sloukas had 12 apiece while Mathias Lessort got 10 for Panathinaikos. Joel Parra led Barca with 18 points. Miles Norris added 15 while Kevin Punter, Myles Cale, Will Clyburn and Toko Shengelia each had 10 for the hosts.

Paris dropped to 14-22 after big wins against Italian rivals Virtus Bologna and EA7 Emporio Armani Milan, looking flat in the second half of a high-octane contest inside a packed Belgrade Arena.

Zvezda was in control pretty much throughout the contest except for a short spell in the second quarter, when Paris edged ahead 44-50 before the hosts closed out the first half with a 13-4 run. Chima Moneke stepped up for the winners as he racked up 21 points and 9 boards while Codi Miller-McIntyre amassed 16 and 14 assists while Ognjen Dobric poured in 19 points in as many minutes on the court. Ebuka Izundu rounded off a flowing team effort with 13 points and 6 boards.

Nadir Hifi led Paris on 20 points while Jared Rhoden and Justin Robinson chipped in with 13 each, but the French side paid the price for poor long-range shooting and ball handling as its shot 6-of-31 from deep and committed 18 turnovers against 16 assists.
