On an emotional night, TOP 6 HOPES STAY ALIVE | Partizan - Zalgiris | R37 BASKETBALL HIGHLIGHTS 2026

Zalgiris took a big step towards clinching a playoff berth in the final round of the regular season after grinding out a priceless win at Partizan on the back of 18 points and 6 boards from Sylvain Francisco. The Lithuanian side improved to 22-15, and a win in Round 38 at home to eliminated Paris Basketball will mean securing a spot in the business end of the competition for the first time since 2023.

The game was preceded by an emotional final farewell to Partizan’s late former head coach Dusko Vujosevic, who passed away on Wednesday at the age of 67. Fans lit up a packed Belgrade Arena with their cellphones and many of them broke down in tears during a short documentary and eulogy displayed on the jumbo screen.

The visitors led from start to finish and repelled several Partizan fightbacks as Nigel Williams-Goss added 13 points, Edgaras Ulanovas and Azoulas Tubelis chipped in with 12 each while Dustin Sleva netted 10. Carlik Jones paced Partizan on 15 points, Isaac Bonga and Shake Milton scored 13 apiece while Bruno Fernando racked up 12 and 9 boards.

Jared Butler and Jordan Nwora both scored 24 points and Codi Miller-McIntyre added 14 points and 7 assists for the Serbian club. ASVEL’s disappointing season continued as its losing streak extended to seven games for an 8-29 record. ASVEL still has not won at home in 2026 with nine straight defeats since its victory against Paris on December 30 in Round 19. ASVEL was paced by Braian Angola with 22 points and Shaquille Harrison collected 16 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists.

Baskonia extended its winning streak to four games by beating Virtus Bologna 72-82 on Friday night at Virtus Arena. Baskonia got off to a strong start with an early 2-15 surge, but the Italian side bounced back in the second quarter, cutting the difference to 39-44 at halftime. A low-scoring third quarter saw the visitors maintain a 53-57 lead before the game turned into a back-and-forth affair in the fourth. Enter Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, who netted 9 of his team’s last 16 points in the closing quarter to seal the outcome.

Having secured its second road victory of the season, Baskonia has overtaken Virtus at the standings, with both teams holding a 13-24 record.

Eugene Omoruyi led all scorers with a career-high 22 points, while Luwawu-Cabarrot ended the game on 19 points. Derrick Alston Jr. paced Virtus with 19 points and Daniel Hackett netted 15 in a losing effort.

Efes picked up a 69-85 win over Dubai in Sarajevo, Bosnia, securing its second victory of the double-game week to finish its EuroLeague campaign on a high note. After a balanced first quarter, Efes opened the second quarter with a 0-6 run, stretching the lead to as many as 18 points behind strong three-point shooting and effective play inside. In the third quarter, Efes pushed the lead to as many as 19 points, but Dubai tightened its defense late in the period and cut the deficit to five. However, behind the offensive impact of Jordan Loyd and Rodrigue Beaubois, Efes pushed the lead back into double digits, regained control, and sealed the win.

Beaubois, shooting 4-of-3 from three, led Efes with 18 points and 5 rebounds, while Loyd added 13 points and 6 rebounds. Ercan Osmani finished with 14 points, and Sehmus Hazer contributed 13 points. Kai Jones was solid defensively with 7 rebounds and 5 blocks, providing defensive energy, and PJ Dozier scored 10 points.
