Carlik Jones saved his best for last in crunch time as he drained five successive points in the home straight, guiding Partizan to a club record sixth straight EuroLeague win as the visitors improved to 15-20 and also derailed Crvena Zvezda’s bid to reach the postseason. Jones, who was presented the competition’s March MVP award on Wednesday, paced Partizan in the Belgrade derby on 26 points with a flawless performance while Sterling Brown racked up 22 and 7 boards.

Following three even quarters in which both teams had their moments, Partizan carved out a 57-72 lead in the fourth but Zvezda hit back and slashed the deficit to 82-85 on a flurry of big shots from Codi Miller-McIntyre, who amassed 24 points and 9 assists in defeat.

Zvezda dropped to 19-16 and faces a dramatic home straight in the race to secure a postseason berth. Bruno Fernando racked up 15 points and 5 boards and Isaac Bonga added 12 for Partizan, while Jasiel Rivero netted 13 and Jordan Nwora poured in 12 for Zvezda.
